On the 5th of November 2023, the Governor of Ebonyi state, the Deputy Governor, Speaker Ebonyi State House of Assembly, the Secretary to the State Government and all other EXCO Members, the Jhpiego Team (MCGL and IHP), EHNRD, and other local partners under the MCGL GBV Project, were honored to host at Re-Meritona Hotel, the Jhpiego CEO/President, Dr. Lesile Mancuso(USA), and the Vice President(Global Programs), Dr. Deborah Bossemeyer (USA), accompanied by the Country Director, Dr. Adetiloye Oniyere, and the MCGL Project Director, Dr. Chioma Oduenyi.
The Government and People of Ebonyi State, Nigeria heartily received and welcomed the Jhpiego President. The State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru expressed delight at the visit and committed to supporting Jhpiego to succeed in the State. As the President of the organization supporting our transformative project this visit was proposed to show off the great work that is being carried out in Ebonyi state. This momentous occasion not only marked a significant milestone for our collaboration, but also provided a unique opportunity to capture the essence of our shared commitment to positive change.
The CEO/President and her Entourage made a first point of visit to Nkaleke Echara Unuphu/Ndiebor, Ebonyi LGA and was ceremoniously received by Professor Henry Urochukwu(CEO EHNRD), HRH, Eze Pius Akam-alo N. (JP, KSM), and HRH Eze Sunday Oketa, with the people of Nkaleke Echara community. the people expressed great appreciation to the President for the positive change that has been brought to their community.
